Money for Scout Store and depending upon the merit badge you are working on you may need to purchase items, such as leatherwork or basketry. All money in an envelope with your name on it and any instructions from your parent or guardian should be given to the adult leader acting as our troop banker, who will allocate the money to you as needed. If you exceed the dollar amount given, you will have to pay it back. Also, consider giving your driver $15.00 for gas money.

Okay items, but not necessary...
Compass
Camera & film
Watch
Religious book (Bible, Prayer Book)
Fishing gear
Spending Money Belt
Sunglasses
Comb
Food (a.k.a. snacks) may not be kept in your tent! But we can keep them in the trailer. There is a Trading Post that sells ice cream and candy. There is plenty of food covered by the camping fee, so you will not starve. Don’t worry, you will not go hungry. Don’t bring something perishable. We don’t have the facilities to preserve them.

Don’t bring... Don’t bring... Don’t bring...
Firearms of any kind
Personal Water Craft
Alcohol or Illegal drugs
Paintball guns
Fireworks
Boats (without prior approval)
Bikes
Pets
ATV's
Archery Equipment
Aerosol cans
Electronic equipment may be brought up to Owasippe for the car ride, but you cannot have it while at camp. The less you bring the less of chance it will get lost. You cannot have a cell phone with you at camp. It must be turned over to the adult leaders, who will lock up in a safe place in case you need to make a call home.
Don’t bring...shirts that have inappropriate images or words on them. You simply will not wear it.
Don’t bring a bad attitude. Owasippe is a fun, enjoyable experience for everyone, including the leaders. Certainly there will be challenges, but it’s time to enjoy being outdoors.
We've never called a parent or guardian to come and pick up a boy who will not listen and we fully expect that it will not happen (because they are just having too much fun), but it is not out of the realm of possibility if a boy is disrupting the experience for others and refuses to cooperate.
